Description
Gruene Hall Sepia - Gruene Hall in sepia, this area is part of New Braunfels in an old German community built by immigrants in the Texas hill country. Ernst Gruene which help to make this a town, is also the towns name, oh it is prononced "Green". This is the oldest dance hall in Texas built somewhere in the late 1878 as a social gathering place and a saloon for the german cotton farmers in Gruene. Tx. Gruene Hall is still in buisness today with a saloon and dance hall. We like the vintage look of the sepia in this image. The community of Gruene has the bar and dance hall, a general store, a gristmill and other various business like a hat maker and antiques along with many bed and breakfast lodging along the Guadalupe river. Gruene is visited by many as it is one of the top destinations for tourist to visit in the Texas hill country year round. This is a historic place and is on the national register of historic places. Also available in color.
