Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The restored wall and mission building of Mission Espiritu Santo in Goliad Texas make one think of what this location was like in the mid 1700s and Franciscan Friars were attempting to spread their faith among Native nations in what is now Texas, while also placing claims on the land. The Mission was eventually withdrawn from in the early 1800s, before the Texas Revolution. A century after the Texas Revolution after Texas had joined, attempted to leave, and again joined the United States the Civilian Conservation Corps restored the Mission site to create the Current Goliad State Park.
Joshua House has been described as a photographer, a conservationist, a historian, and an adventurer. Having traveled and worked extensively across the country he is currently concentrating his photographic work in Eastern Texas, centered on Houston. His past creative work has included research, writing, and photography for the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Illinois, Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska, and Dinosaur National Monument in Utah and Colorado. As a conservationist he has worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and the National Park Service.
